Today’s post is me sharing my real life Holiday Cards that I created this year with the help of the creatives at Pinhole Press.
It’s that time of year!!
You may have recently had your family photos done and you’re ready to order your Christmas Cards! PERFECT. TIMING.
Unless you’re me… and you wanted to arrange family photos and you intended to arrange family photos but then suddenly time flew by and there was no time to get family photos in time for ordering your Christmas Cards. AHHH!!!!
Well, if you DID get your family photos done then I am in AWE and love your organized self!! And, if you’re like me and you didn’t get photos done this year for whatever reason, I understand completely. And I want you to know… there is still hope for Christmas cards!!
Since I didn’t have official family photos, I just used our self-taken photos from our computer, Facebook and Instagram to create them. Pinhole Press made it SUPER easy to upload my photos and do a drag-and-drop-drag-and-drop process to make my cards.
I absolutely love how our cards turned out! ♥
Check out the quality of these premium cards…
Super thick!!… and OH. MY…. that red PINSTRIPE!! I’m in love. ♥
I seriously found SOOOOO many favorite cards layouts… I couldn’t decide which one I liked best!!
The card I finally landed on was perfect for the family photos I had on hand. There was no “standout” family shot that I wanted to use, so a card with just a single photo was not going to work. But why pick one photo when you can use them all?! The “All Our Love Collage Holiday Photo Card” ended up being the perfect fit.
It allowed for lots of photos and a personalized message on the back of the card!
Now, I’m under no illusion that people love reading really long newsletter-like Christmas cards. Nonetheless, we wanted to write something meaningful… but short… to give people a sneak peek into our family’s little world.
Maybe you want to do the same???
So here’s what we did…
We sat down and created a FAMILY BUCKET LIST for 2016!!
Annnnnnndddd………. we shared it on our Christmas Cards! Our hope is that writing down our goals and sharing them with family and friends will help keep us accountable to actually accomplishing them. And… we thought maybe it would inspire other families to create their own bucket lists. You should try it! It makes for some fun family time and goal-making is always good for re-focusing. You know… those things we’ve wanted to do but haven’t done… or those things that you’ve “let go” that you want to re-commit to?? Some of our Bucket List items are family-oriented, some are just for the adults, and some are individual goals.
What’s on our list you ask??
We have ELEVEN things on our list. I don’t know why… that’s just how many we came up with that would fit on our card. 😉
I’ll share a few of our Bucket List items with you…
- Do at least THREE service projects as a family.
- Travel to at least TWO new cities in Arizona to explore.
- Run in at least four races (Jenna) and Do CrossFit 3x/ week (David).
- Read at least 10 books each (David & Jenna). This is a realistic but challenging goal for us!
- Be better at writing Thank You notes & letters to family & friends.
If you’re not sure what to say on your Holiday Cards, hopefully this sparks some inspiration.
Be sure to use the code GALMEETSFOOD to get 10% off your Holiday Card purchase until December 10th!! This code will also work for any PHOTO GIFTS that you want to purchase to check some more people off that Christmas list of yours!
A huge thanks to Pinhole Press for sponsoring this post!!! ♥
What’s on your family’s bucket list for 2016??
